Chairman and CEO
Bill earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in insurance from the University of Arizona. He has more than 40 years of experience in the (Re) insurance industry. This includes over 26 years at CNA where he was CEO of CNA Re, an international reinsurance business with offices in 8 countries.
He also assisted with the founding of LaSalle Re, a Bermuda catastrophe reinsurer as its interim Chairman where he was involved with the initial capital raising and where he headed the underwriting committee until it was sold.
More recently, he was CEO for Carvill America where he had responsibility for the U.S. and Bermuda broking operations and its analytical subsidiary, ReAdvisory. Carvill had strong expertise and a long history in specialty casualty business.
After earning a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Tim spent 16 years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers serving public and private clients, and 20 years as the chief financial officer of a successful specialty insurance company. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. He principally practiced Workers Compensation Law representing employers and employees before the Illinois Industrial Commission.
Mike later joined the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Currently, he co-manages Three Zero Three Capital Partners that provides middle and back office support for hedge funds and proprietary trading companies. Mr. Rane holds a Series 3 registration with the National Futures Association.
Jay holds a BS in Business Administration from The Citadel. He has more than 24 years of experience in the Insurance Industry initially as a Senior Investigator responsible for the investigation of fraud for the South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company and later as the Owner and Principal of an independent insurance agency. He has also been a Firefighter for over 29 years and has held the position of Battalion Chief since 2001.
Loss Control Director
J. T. holds a BS degree from Elmhurst College with a double major in Finance and Environmental Planning/Geography, and also has a Graduate level diploma in Computer Information Systems from DePaul University. He is a retired fulltime Fire Marshall and has been active within the Fire Service and the Insurance Industry for 34 years. He has an expansive knowledge base in Firefighting/EMS safety and overall operations. J. T. also possesses considerable depth and awareness for Workers Compensation coverage. He has been employed by many large Regional and National Insurance carriers over the years - coordinating Loss Control and Safety Services from a Workers Compensation perspective.
Richard holds degrees from Colgate University (BA- Mathematical Economics) and New York University (MBA- Finance) and has 29 years of insurance/reinsurance industry experience. He began his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers with a concentration on the insurance practice. He then moved to progressively larger Chief Financial Officer roles at Re Capital Corporation, CNA Re and Kemper Insurance (interim-CFO). Richard joined Aon plc in 2006 and is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Aon Benfield- Americas.
Upon graduating law school in 1994, Andrew joined the law firm of Garofalo, Schreiber & Storm where he became a partner in 2001 and a shareholder in 2005. His primary practice area is Workers’ Compensation where he represents employers and carriers before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Over the years, he has been a frequent lecturer on all aspects of the Workers’ Compensation Act including speaking on behalf of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He has contributed a chapter on trial process and procedures published by Lexis-Nexis. He also recently served as President of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association.
After earning a B. S. degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law where he was on Law Review, Marc associated with the Chicago law firm of Charles Levy & Associates, LTD., engaging in the general practice of law.
In 1985, he founded his own law firm, currently known as Nilson, Stookal, Gleason & Caputo, LTD., in Chicago where he focuses his practice on workers' compensation and personal injury matters.
Marc is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association.
Dave holds a BA. in Mathematics and Anthropology from DePauw University. He has 45 years of Property & Casualty (re)insurance pricing and reserving experience. Currently a SVP at Swiss Re America Holding Corporation, he has held prior officer level positions at CNA Insurance, Zurich American Insurance, William M. Mercer (Principal & Consulting Actuary), Kemper Insurance and GE Reinsurance Corporation. Dave is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
